I am a relationship-minded technical recruiter with an insatiable hunger for those hard-to-find [purple-squirrel] requisitions. From that initial introductory phone call through to an offer extension, I keep candidates “in the know” with a steady practice of accessibility, transparency and confidentiality.

I have recruited for a gamut of general/creative roles including Product Marketing, Client Success, Finance/Accounting and Information Systems. I take lasting pride in understanding both the technology behind the product, and the people behind the technology.

I am eager to share my knack of Product Development recruiting as well as my operational recruiting skills with a company ready to scale.

My Professional Story

2015 March - Present

Lytx, Inc.

Talent Acquisition Recruiter

Lytx brought me on to focus primarily on technical recruiting for Product Development and Information Technology.  Based on forecasted staff expansion and a developing Talent Acquisition function, I also assisted with Operations, Marketing, Client success and Finance requisitions.

As Lytx expanded at a rate of almost 4 people a week, it was imperative to understand how each role directly impacted the business and ensure that the high-collaborative and innovative company culture was upheld.

2012 November - 2015 March

Robert Half Technology

Senior Technical Recruiter

I kick-started my recruiting career at Robert Half Technology where I obtained extensive training from the largest staffing agency in the world. I predominantly recruited for System/Network Engineers,  Security Engineers, Desktop Support Analysts, and Help Desk Technicians. I realized, after keeping the local RHT Yelp page busy with positive 5 star reviews, that candidate experience and client success are what I enjoyed most about my role.

  • Scott Faurot

    TA Partner

“Molly is the best recruiter I have worked with! She has all the technical skills of a solid recruiter; the intuition and the street smarts, but possesses all (and I mean all) of the soft skills you could be looking for. She is humble, she is funny, she works her tail off to bring the best candidate to the table, and is a true joy to work with making the dynamic better.”

  • Lance Carter

    Division Director

“Molly and I worked together for about a year in a very competitive IT staffing market. She is one of the most efficient, hardworking and honest employees I’ve ever managed. She was extremely focused on her day to day production and very rarely did she not bring her lively and positive personality to work. Molly is a GREAT team player and any company that has the privilege of hiring her should count themselves lucky! Hope to work with you again one day Molly.”

  • Kelli Page

    System Administrator

“As a client of Molly’s, I noticed she was well prepared and very aware of what was needed each time I worked with her. Her great communication skills and friendly positive attitude really helps when building successful new business relationships. I would definitely want her to be on my team again in the future!”

  • Ardella Wade

    Corporate Recruiter

“Molly is an awesome recruiter for technical talent! She pays attention to detail, and has a knack for placing people into the right positions. I had the pleasure of working with her on the same team. She has an infectious, bubbly personality and truly cares about her candidates. Molly is a pleasure to work with!”

  • Jonathon G.

    Desktop Support

“By far one of the best recruiters I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with is Molly Benjamin from Robert Half Technology. I had been on the job search for nearly a month and have had countless recruiters contact me. Most usually just pushed out a list of their jobs to you without even asking what you’re interested in. I’ve met with and dealt with some in person here in San Diego, and while they were good Molly definitely goes above and beyond.”

  • Cameron Khani

    Talent Acquisition

“Molly is an exceptional judge of technical talent and I had the pleasure of collaborating with her for serveral months as she sourced talent for the LA region. She was recently promoted to Sr. Technical Recruiter in the SD Branch. Well deserved”

community service

I teamed up with 3 girlfriends to join Habitat for Humanity's Women's Build. This event brought women from all over San Diego together to build 4 homes for low income families. From laying the foundation to putting the final coat on the second bedroom walls, we worked a full day to get these houses built! My team alone raised over $1,200 to donate towards the cause.

Feeding America Feeding America is a nationwide network of food banks and the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. Every few months, I would chorale a crew of friends to sort donated non-perishable food, separate items into food categories, check expiration dates, discard damaged product and check for recalled items.

STOP HUNGER NOW has a mission is to end hunger by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable and creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources. Joined by the girl who introduced me to this great cause, Kimberly and I assisted in setting up equipment and packaging stations. We filled bins with raw ingredients, scooped those ingredients into meal bags, weighed and sealed the bags, boxed and stacked them on pallets, and then loaded the pallets and equipment onto a truck.  By the end of a 3 hour shift, we had packaged over 10,000 meals!

This was one of the first furniture pieces I ever tackled. It is an Ikea purchase that I customized to match our existing counter space. I started by sanding down the entire piece and and staining it a darker color. Then, I removed the counter piece and replaced it with a wider piece of ply wood that I sanded down and painted white. With a few coats of sealant on top, it was ready for use!

After failing to find a high-end duvet with a low-end price, I decided to design and construct my own! I started with a simple sketch of how to piece it together followed by picking out my own fabric. I learned how to do a proper french stitch to ensure it would survive in the wash and put buttons at the bottom for easy removal. I was even able to design both sides of this duvet so that when I felt like changing it up, all I had to do was flip it over!

I found this broken armoire at an antique store with a clearance sign on it. My original plan was to sand it completely and paint it white but once it was sanded down, I loved the raw distressed feel! I taped off the outside and spray painted the inside a textured off-white. With some new hardware and some TLC to the broken shelves, we had a custom bar!
