little bit about little me

My name is Molly — but my friends call me… Molly.  If you catch me in deep thought, I’m probably brainstorming my next meal. I’ve been compared to a duck: calm and collected on the surface, but beneath the water I’m paddling with purpose.  I’m the type who can keep a steady hand in chaotic moments, adjusting quickly and keeping things moving without losing sight of what matters. My family calls it “Molly Magic”, the way I dive into challenges head-on, and keep kindness front and center. For me, it’s all about building genuine connections, staying open-minded, and getting things done.

In my world, kindness is non-negotiable and Spaghetti Thursday is sacred.

My husband has proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 18 years. During that time, we’ve relocated three times and were lucky enough to ping-pong between San Diego and Washington, D.C.—twice. Now, with his retirement on the horizon, we’re putting down roots in Maryland, where we truly feel at home. Through every move and chapter, his support and encouragement made it possible for me to build a career I love, even while navigating the constant motion of military life.

Being a mom is my greatest joy, not to mention the most humbling and heart-expanding role I’ve ever had. My two kids, Marlo and Cosmo, are absolutely incredible humans who keep me grounded and inspired. Remote work has given me the flexibility to truly show up for them without compromising my career. I’m a better mom because I work, and I’m a better employee because I parent. It’s taught me how to prioritize what matters, set boundaries, and recognize when it’s time to lead versus when it’s time to listen.

Sully is our sweet rescue pup and a steady presence in our every day. Over the years, my family has opened our home to foster dogs, and offering safe landings is something we care deeply about. Sully, in particular, has this quiet way of reminding me to slow down. Whether it’s a walk outside or a dog pile on my bedroom floor, she brings a kind of calm that helps me reset and reconnect.

Creativity is my escape hatch. I have been known to build kitchen cabinet boxes, refurbish antique pieces, and I love to find ways to produce BIG art on a budget. I’ve turned my garage into a semi-functional workshop and love when my kids watch me try something I’ve never done before. There is something gratifying about making something beautiful and useful. I’m a firm believer in rolling up your sleeves, whether at home or at work. That DIY spirit carries into my professional life too – I am always looking for ways to build better systems, solve problems creatively, and leave things better than I found them.

MANSCAPED INC

DIRECTOR, TALENT ACQUISITION & EMPLOYER BRAND | Jan 2024 – Current

Promoted to lead the charge on all things hiring and headline the company’s employer brand story. Think: recruitment meets marketing magic.

SENIOR MANAGER, TALENT ACQUISITION | Jan 2021 – Jan 2024

Founding ‘mother’ of the Talent function. I laid the foundation, built the blueprint, and brought the recruiting vision to life—one hire (and hiring process) at a time.

NTREPID

TALENT ACQUISITION MANAGER | October 2018 – December 2020

Took the reins as the TA Manager. Strategy, process, and a whole lot of hiring mojo.

SENIOR TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST | January 2017 – October 2018

High-volume, high-impact, high-five-worthy results. Promoted for crushing tough reqs and leveling up the team.

TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST | April 2016 – January 2017

One-woman recruiting show. Sourced, scheduled, and sealed the deal, start to finish.

Why I left Ntrepid: A mentor and friend from Lytx( now the VP of People at MANSCAPED) recruited me to stand up the Talent function at MANSCAPED.

LYTX, INC.

TALENT ACQUISITION CONSULTANT | March 2015 – April 2016

Swapped agency hustle for in-house heart. My first time recruiting under one roof…and I was HOOKED.

Why I left Lytx: I took this position knowing it was a 1 year contract and the timing was perfect because my husband was slated to transfer to a new command in the next 12 months. When the Lytx contract wrapped up, I packed up not only my desk, but also my house for a military move to Washington, DC.

ROBERT HALF TECHNOLOGY

SENIOR TECHNICAL RECRUITER | November 2012 – March 2015

Cut my teeth in tech recruiting with 6 months of bootcamp-style training. Promoted after year one and helped staff the unsung heroes of IT: infrastructure engineers.

Why I left: Someone in my network reached out with a 1 year contract with Lytx, which was my foot in the door for in-house corporate recruiting. I knew I was leaving San Diego in 1 year for a military relo so timing was perfect.

Embracing Work-Life Balance

Over my 11 years in Recruiting & Talent Acquisition, the typical topics of conversation with candidates have evolved significantly. But there is one burning question from candidates that hasn’t changed much at all:

“Is there work-life…”

Recruiters, the New Tour Guides

Early in my recruiting career, I recall a pivotal conversation with a hiring manager. Let’s call him, Ben. Ben had a vacancy on his team, and it was my job to find the talent and draw them in. As our funnel narrowed, we zeroed in on…

Scalable Recruitment Process Design – If your hiring feels chaotic or slow, I can design full-cycle workflows that scale with your growth while improving speed and quality of hire.

ATS Implementation/Optimization– Whether your company doesn’t have an Applicant Tracking System or the one you have isn’t working hard for you, help is on the way! I can set up a new ATS from scratch or streamline workflows and automate tasks in your existing ATS. Dealers choice.

Internal Mobility & Referral Program Overhaul – A company is only as successful as it’s people are happy. If your best talent is leaving instead of moving up, I can design programs that boost engagement and increase referral-to-hire success rates.

DEI Hiring Playbook – If a diverse workforce is a goal but not yet a measurable reality, I can implement inclusive practices and track progress  that leaders can see.

Contingent Workforce Program – If contractors and consultants feel like a black hole in your system, I can build a compliant, cost-efficient way to track and manage them, ensuring compliance and guaranteeing savings.

Consultative Intake Frameworks – If job openings turn into moving targets, I can align hiring managers and TA on role priorities from day one. TA is a partner to the business, and we are known to bring snacks.

Headcount Prioritization – If you have more open roles than resources, I can create decision frameworks to focus efforts on high-impact hires, while still ensuring everyone’s hiring priorities are met.

Workforce Planning & Modeling – Me  *handshake* Finance.  If you’re always reacting instead of planning, I will partner with Finance/HR to forecast needs and align hiring with business financial goals.

Hiring Manager Training – If leaders struggle to hire the right people, I can equip them with tools for thoughtful interviewing and smart hiring decisions.

EMPLOYER BRAND

Careers Website Redesign – Career page outdated? Or not yielding the right talent? Or is just, plain non-existent?  I can refresh the content or start from scratch, to boost your employer brand and invite the RIGHT people to apply.
